Facebook Gimp of the Week goes to the sister of a friend, who is a special and unusual creature. She writes, "Okay who can measure their car antenna length for me? I need short and long measurements. And don't tell me to google it. I want proper measurements."
I love that this is such a non sequiteur, delivered with no context and no expectation that people might be interested as to WHY she needs the measurements for their car antenna. I like that, to this girl's mind, google could not possibly deliver "proper" measurements but that her Facebook aquaintenances can. But most of all I love the overall tone of this - the expectation that her considerably high number of Facebook friends will immediately run outside with their measuring tape and bring back the measurements simply because she has ordered them to do so, as though we are all just sitting on Facebook waiting for instructions from our glorious leader. Brilliant.
